●ランボルギーニ・ムルシエラゴLP640

■実に久々に、ランボルギーニ・ムルシエラゴに乗った。最近各紙で紹介されているLP640である。60度のバンク角を持つ排気量6496ccのV型12気筒DOHCは、最高出力は車名の通り640ps／8000rpm、最大トルクは660Nm/6000rpmを発生する。動力性能は当然凄まじいもので、0-100km/h加速性能はわずか3.4秒。

■最近仕事で大排気量、大パワー、大トルクのクルマに乗ることが多く、速さや加速に対してある意味鈍感になっていたが、それでもLP640の加速は改めて目を覚まさせてくれるようなものだった。車幅は2mを超えるが、走らせると意外や苦にならない。また一昔前のディアブロなどと比べれば、ムルシエラゴは格段に住環境にも優れるため、緊張感もそれほど高いわけではない。とはいえ、前日に乗ったフェラーリ599に比べると、いろんな意味でランボルギーニらしいと思えた。なんかこう、毒というか荒々しさというか、そういう部分が色濃くあるわけです。
